45th Annual Kiwanis Special Games

The Kiwanis Special Games were created to address the physical and emotional needs of the substantial number of extremely challenged children in the schools of our region. The Special Games exclude no one. The Games were first organized in 1979 by two PE teachers and Los Altos Kiwanian Walter Chronert. Under Walt’s leadership, spanning more then 25 years, the Games flourished from modest beginnings. It continues to be a tradition for Kiwanis now for over 40 years. We are always looking for volunteers who love working with kids and making a difference in the lives of the youth in our community.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO

76th Annual Los Altos Pet Parade

A beloved community tradition since 1947, the Los Altos Kiwanis Pet Parade is a celebration that attracts kids, adults and their pets every year.  Traditionally, this free Los Altos Heritage Event is held annually on the Saturday following Mother’s Day.  Hundreds of kids, adults and their pets — dogs, cats, birds, chickens, turtles and even worms — participate, while a thousand or more parents and other community members watch. Registration will be open soon.

Harvest History Festival (annual)

Before there was tech, there were orchards. Silicon Valley was known as The Valley of Heart’s Delight, and Mountain View is nestled serenely at its center. Come to the Harvest History Festival and celebrate our valley’s rich and fertile past. Heritage Park is home to this family-friendly event hosted each year in September. Enjoy live music by the Stragglyrs while touring the gardens. Sample harvest bounty, enjoy children's activities & art projects including puppet show, caricaturist, and bubble entertainment. View historic Immigrant House and see garden demonstrations. Bike or walk in.  MORE INFORMATION COMING SOON
