Kiwanis Club of Mountain View Celebrates Grant Awards on Valentine's Day with a Theme of Community and Benevolence

Mountain View, CA – The Kiwanis Club of Mountain View was thrilled to announce at the Grant Foundation Luncheon, a special event to be held on Valentine's Day, February 14th, celebrating the award of grants totaling $150,750.00 to 33 deserving organizations. This year's theme, "Community and Benevolence," aligns with the spirit of Valentine's Day and the Chinese New Year, embracing the Year of the Dragon's symbolic representation of benevolent spirits and helpfulness.

The recipients of this year's grants include a wide range of organizations dedicated to improving the lives of community members across various sectors: Animal Assisted Happiness, Avenidas-Rose Kleiner Center, Boy Scouts of America (Pacific Skyline Council), Canopy, Catholic Charities - Older Adult Services, CHAC, Child Advocates of Silicon Valley, Community School of Music and Arts, Community Services Agency (CSA), Day Worker Center of Mountain View, Graham Middle School, Hidden Villa, Honor Flight Bay Area Foundation, Hopes Corner, Kiwanis Club of Cambrian Park Foundation, Kiwanis Family House, Krause Center for Innovation, Mentor Tutor Connection, Mountain View Police Activities League, Mountain View Public Safety Foundation, MVLA Adult Education, MVPD - Dreams and Futures, MVPSF - Cops and Gobblers, National Center for Equine Facilitated Therapy (NCEFT), Olimpico Learning, Peninsula Youth Theater, Senior Adults Legal Assistance, Soil&Water, Tech Trek - American Association of University Women, Vista Center for the Blind, Weingarten Children’s Center, Westwind Riding School, and YMCA.

Mary Kay "Marina" Marinovich, Jeff Sato, Dede Verzic, Diahanna Flores, Carol Lewis and the Los Altos Community Foundation have worked diligently to transition the grant application process online, streamlining submissions and evaluations. The Kiwanis Club of Mountain View looks forward to celebrating these "Little Dragons" of our community, whose efforts embody the spirit of helpfulness and support.
